Support the 50-State Story Tour!

Most of you know by now, but this fall Marquise and I are embarking on an ambitious 4-month, 50-State Story Tour to collect and share LGBTQ stories from the smallest towns and biggest cities across the U.S. We can’t wait!

In order to make that happen, we have to raise $15,000 via Kickstarter. The way Kickstarter works is, if you reach your goal you get the money. If you don’t reach your goal, you don’t get any money. It’s all or nothing. We only have until July 26 so we would really appreciate any donation you can throw our way, even if it’s just $10! Make a donation here.

This first video explains more details about the trip and the second one is a plea for help to all the IFD YouTube subscribers. Thanks in advance for all your support!

I was in eager anticipation to go to my Junior Prom because I could not [...]
“AIDS Will Not Be The Boss of Me.”
This week, guest videographer and editor Matthew Ladensack and I are accompanying the more than 2700 riders and volunteers of the AIDS LifeCycle and collecting their stories. If you’re not familiar with ALC, it’s the world’s largest annual HIV/AIDS fundraiser where riders bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles over the course of 7 days. We [...]
I’m From Dubuque, IA.
There’s something you should know about me: I’m a liar. Don’t judge me. Because if the first thing you should know about me is that I’m a liar, the second is that I’m a teacher, and the third that I’m a lesbian. I teach at a middle school, and most of the girls are in their boy crazy [...]
