Phyllis Rhodes is simply awesome. She’s the Executive Director of Identity, Anchorage’s LGBT Center, and has a heart of gold. I wish every LGBTQ Alaskan would go pay her a visit because I know they would feel better afterwards. Alaska is lucky to have her. //

During our stay in Hawaii we were lucky to meet NovaLei, who taught us about the Aloha Spirit and banyan trees. We also met Kevin who was kind enough to take the time to play his nose flute for us. //
One of the most inspiring discussions we had on the Tour was in Los Angeles. We spoke with some youth at LifeWorks, a youth development and mentoring program hosted at the LGBT Center. They told us all about being LGBT in L.A. and how it isn’t the perfect gay mecca people might think it is. [...]

It was all about the youth in Arkansas. We spoke with some youth at the Center for Artistic Revolution, filmed some Video Stories from college students and even made our way into Parkview High School to speak with an out student and his mom, who’s a teacher at PHS. //
