I’m From Wheaton, IL.

My story began many a year ago, but back then, I didn’t realize the significance. I’m now in my early 40s, and I always knew that I was gay, even back when I was a child. What straight man whacks off to John Schneider and Scott Baio (keep in mind this was the late 70s/early 80s) in Tiger Beat and doesn’t know he’s gay? Well, apparently I didn’t.

I continued to deny my sexuality until I was well within my 30s. By that time I had been married to a woman, my “college sweetheart” if you will, for over a dozen years. Then I had an epiphany…it’s okay to be gay! Wow! What a revelation! Suddenly, instead of being an unhappy cranky person, I was free to be who I was.

I told my (now ex) wife, “the problem with our relationship is that we both want a man in our bedroom” and we divorced quickly and amicably and that was that. Since then, I’ve become an advocate for gay teens and young people. I support the TrevorProject.org and the Bobby Griffith Foundation. My goal is to let gay young people know that they have someone on their side who will fight to make this world a safer place for them to live rather than end their own life. I am now a happy, reasonably well adjusted man who is comfortable in his sexuality.

I’m From Fairless Hills, PA.
I was a really small kid, so people always thought I was a lot younger than I was – like, when I was 10 they thought I was 5. They also often thought I was a girl, I guess because I had a delicate, sort of pretty face and kept my hair kind of long. It [...]
I’m From Simi Valley, CA.
