Hello, Story Lovers,

Listening to people share their personal stories is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I’ve heard a range of feedback such as, “You’ve saved my life, literally” from teens, “You’ve helped me come out at the age of 47” from adults and “This is what will help change how people think about [the LGBTQ community]” from straight people. It’s a meaningful experience for me, one which I hope to do for the rest of my life. But I don’t want to keep hogging all the fun so I’m going to share this opportunity with you.

The IFD Ambassador Program allows teams of videographers/editors and story listeners to collect stories in your community, no matter where you are in the world, and then share them on ImFromDriftwood.com. To participate in the Ambassador Program, read the volunteer descriptions below and send an email to ambassador[at]imfromdriftwood.com. I’ll then contact you to discuss the opportunity further.

Descriptions:
Videographer/Editor: Your job is to film the storyteller sharing his or her story with the Story Listener. You are required to have your own HD video camera, editing equipment and editing software.

Story Listener: Your job is to listen to the storyteller share his or her story, and ask questions to get more details about the story.

Story Collector: Your job will be to encourage people in your community to submit written stories, and find folks who want to share Video Stories. You should be well-connected within your local LGBTQ community.
